Festival of Cultures, 13th edition
The Festival of Cultures returns, now in its thirteenth edition!
The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, starting at 3:00 PM in Piazza Visconti, where the public can immerse themselves in a rich program of dances, music, workshop activities for children, and a multicultural aperitif.
The event is organized, as usual, by the Migrants Council and the Multicultural Association Oasi, with the collaboration of the Intrecci Cooperative, the #BeyondTheBorders project, and the SAI projects of the Municipality of Rho and Ser.co.p. asc. The theme chosen for this year, “A journey across borders: the fortune of meeting,” invites reflection on the value and beauty of encounters between different cultures, stories, and traditions, with the aim of symbolically bringing “the world to the square.”
On the occasion of the festival, an art contest was also promoted, aimed at primary school students in Rho. A jury composed of operators and beneficiaries of the SAI projects of the Municipality of Rho and of Ser.co.p. asc evaluated the works, identifying the most significant pieces in relation to the proposed theme. The three winning works will be awarded on stage during the event.
