Lysistrata

Written by the Greek playwright Aristophanes in the 5th century BC, Lysistrata is a surprisingly timely satire against war. In an Athens paralyzed by conflict, a woman proposes a sex strike until peace is restored. Between irony and provocation, Lysistrata thus becomes a symbol of rebellion capable of putting life and love against the hatred and violence of the present.
