Two spouses, a dynasty
Life, loves and anecdotes of Casa Litta.
Historical reenactment with the Amici di Villa Litta Association.
A journey through the Age of Enlightenment with the traditional historical reenactment in the Nymphaeum, curated by volunteers from the Friends of Villa Litta Association. At the center of the story are two young protagonists, Maria Elisabetta Visconti Borromeo and Pompeo Giulio Litta. Their stories will be discovered, from childhood games to when their respective families’ marital ambitions will lead them to a combined union. Fortunately, theirs will turn out to be a beautiful love marriage, crowned by the birth of fourteen children! Some of them will lead along the way, recounting firsthand the joys and adventures they experienced, intertwining emotions, Enlightenment education, and Lombard noble customs.
A way to discover the wonderful 18th century told by a large family, among period costumes, water features, suggestions and curiosities!.
