THE EMOTIONS OF THE GAMES – Culture Through Sport
Awaiting the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, as part of its themed events the city of Rho will host THE EMOTIONS OF THE GAMES – Culture Through Sport, a photographic exhibition that celebrates the Games and the importance of the sporting spirit, aiming to convey the values of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to a wide audience, enhance the rich tradition and culture of the host regions, promote sporting and Olympic culture for everyone, and create an additional dimension of culture through a bridge between sport, art, and history. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Rho, will be organized by FICTS – Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs, featuring 180 photographic images and original videos exclusively selected from the official IOC – International Olympic Committee archive, recalling the most exciting moments of the Games of all time, and developing the main themes of the Games in two themed exhibitions: “Olympic Spirit,” featuring the most significant images from the Summer and Winter Olympic Games that capture moments of respect, brotherhood, solidarity, and fairness, and “Paralympic Emotions,” showcasing the most moving images from the latest editions of the Paralympic Games, a tribute to commitment and resilience. The exhibition will be held at the Sala delle Colonne in Villa Burba and will be inaugurated on January 17, 2026, at 11:30 AM. It will remain open to the public from Friday to Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and during the week in the mornings for schools by appointment, until February 1, 2026.
