Telling Music Today: Magazines, the Web, Social Media, and Artificial Intelligence

On Friday, February 13, 2026, at 8:45 PM, at the Conference Hall in Piazza San Vittore (CentRho), the public meeting “Telling Music Today: Magazines, the Web, Social Media, and Artificial Intelligence” will take place, dedicated to the profound transformations of music journalism in the era of digital convergence and content automation. The meeting aims to explore exactly what it means to tell music stories in 2026, when the algorithm accompanies – and sometimes replaces – the human eye. Speakers will include Marco De Crescenzo, director of the publications Rumore and Newsic, and Nicholas David Altea, journalist for Rumore and Social Media Editor for Wired Italy, who will provide two different but complementary perspectives on these crucial topics for modern journalism. The discussion will be moderated by Lino Garbellini, journalist, lecturer (new media), and author. The event is organized by the associations Nuovo Rinascimento of Rho and Prospettiva 2023 of Arese, organizations committed to promoting moments of critical reflection on the languages of the present and their social impacts.
