Solo exhibition by Francesco Zavatta “Traces” at Villa Burba
The exhibition explores the theme of the sky through three distinctive strands: flocks of birds, airplane trails and wires, which the artist has been investigating for years with oil and mixed techniques on canvas. The works on display, largely unpublished, offer a poetic and intense vision of urban environments such as squares, streets and stations, in which the sky becomes the absolute protagonist. Francesco Zavatta’s artistic project focuses on celestial elements that invite us to look up, representing both natural traces, such as flocks of birds, and man-made signs, such as airplane trails and electric or tram wires. The “”traces”” that characterize these skies are a reflection on the relationship between man and nature in the urban context.
To accompany the exhibition, educational workshops will be organized for kindergartens and primary schools, and guided tours for secondary schools. The activities will be curated by the young people of the social cooperative “Care and Rehabilitation” of Vanzago, with the active participation of the artist, who will be present to guide the children on a creative journey through the themes of the exhibition.
