Dante Anticapitalist by and with Gianni Vacchelli
On Wednesday, June 18 at 9:00 PM in the Conference Hall of Villa Burba, Gianni Vacchelli presents his latest essay titled “Dante Anticapitalista. Poetry, Philosophy, Mysticism, and Political Economy (Mimesis, 2025).”
The author proposes an original reinterpretation of Dante’s work, finding in the Poet’s writings a sort of ‘critical theory’ ante litteram that is anti-capitalist, with powerful philosophical roots, as well as mystical-theological-poetical ones. Marcello Bramati will dialogue with the author.
Entrance to the presentation is free and open to all.
