For the fourth consecutive time, the Milan-Turin starts from Rho: the appointment is on March 18, 2026
Wednesday, March 18, 2026, the classic Milan-Turin cycling race, now in its 107th edition, will start from Rho for the fourth consecutive year, with the start signal given by Mayor Andrea Orlandi and the Sports Councillor Alessandra Borghetti. 150 years after the first edition in 1876, when Paolo Magretti covered the 150 kilometers of the route in 10 hours and 9 minutes, the Milan-Turin race continues to represent one of the most followed one-day races on the international cycling calendar, and to celebrate the race the city of Rho will accompany the event by dressing in the historical colors of the race, blue and red, and involving local shops and schools. On March 18, the team stopover will be set up at Villa Burba, a reference point for the teams of the various squads and for the press covering the sporting event; in Piazza San Vittore, where the stage will be built and the area dedicated to guests will be set up, 600 children from local schools, ready to cheer for many champions, will display their greeting signs and receive a snack offered by Citterio along with the special guest Riccardo Lorello, Olympic bronze medalist in speed skating at the recent Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. A drone will capture aerial footage of the streets where the riders will parade, giving Rho great visibility.
