Burba Festival

Spring is just around the corner and, with it, the traditional Burba Festival returns, which opens to the summer by inviting you to visit the architectural jewel that Rho has boasted for five centuries.

Starting at 3.00 p.m. there will be guided tours by the Tourist Infopoint, to discover the rooms of the villa. From 15.00 to 18.30 in the Courtyard of Honor there will be the banquet We have a History. Discover the Rho area with the Biblioteca Popolare di Rho, a counter selling local history publications by the Biblioteca Popolare di Rho.

From 15.00 to 16.00, in the Children’s Library, Choose your reading! is scheduled: very short readings aloud on the theme chosen directly by the listening children from three different possibilities. The readers of Leggi che ti passa by Fare Diversamente APS are involved.

From 3.00 p.m., in Sala Camino and adjacent rooms, an exhibition of Korean painting created by Art550 and promoted by artscore.it will be open. The visitor is welcomed by the works of Gabriele Buratti, Susy Manzo, Gio Manzoni, Sara Meliti, Sofia Obracaj and Sonia Tomé, who invite you to discover the 120 exponents of the Korea Professional Artists Association. Multiform stages of artistic journeys from the Bel Paese to that of the Calm Morning reveal to the public peaceful or combative, amused or contemplative, imaginative or lyrical, visions of resistant fragility as in the harmony between the contrasts of a garden in Spring explain the promoters A garden of as many flowers as the visions of contemporary art from South Korea, in dialogue with the works of six Italian artists. A multidisciplinary story that unfolds on the ground floor of the historic residence: painting, sculpture and photography animate the ancient furnishings, from the seventeenthcentury fireplace room to the rooms overlooking the park of the villa“. Admission is free, vernissage on Saturday 22 March at 17.00. The exhibition will remain open until March 25 from 10.00 to 18.00.

Sunday 23, from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm Pigmentaction, an expressive artistic workshop for the extraction of pigments from plants to obtain watercolors with which to paint. Event curated by Passi e Crinali, dedicated to children aged 5 and over.

At 4.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m., in the Sala del Filatoio, Giovanninos extraordinary journeys, an animated story with a theater workshop dedicated to children aged 3 to 8 and parents by Teatro dell Armadillo: Giovannino is a child who loves to travel to really strange places. His mother follows him, curious and a little worried, in these incredible adventures of his. Together they will discover the power of imagination.

From 4.15 pm to 5.00 pm, at the Childrens Library, Surprise Readings dedicated to children aged 3 and over accompanied by an adult, organised by the Library.

At 5.30 p.m. the most awaited moment: the traditional snack with tortelli and eggs, which will be distributed by Mayor Andrea Orlandi and Councilor for Culture Valentina Giro.

Starting at 19.00 visits to Magic Light Garden Experience will continue, with online reservations on the dedicated page.
