NATALINO BALASSO
Balasso fa Ruzante (desperate loves in times of war)
Directed by Marta Dalla Via
Natalino Balasso offers us his latest work based on some of the works of Angelo Beolco, Paduan actor and playwright of the Renaissance, famous for having given life to the character of Ruzante, a free-range, ravenous Paduan peasant – a real exception in Renaissance literature – whose universe is populated by rough and elementary peasants and marked by a semi-serious exaltation of the raw energy of instincts, which gives us a vital and at the same time bitter comedy.
