Rho on Ice 2025: the ice skating rink set up in Piazza Visconti opens

In the renewed Piazza Visconti, citizens will be able to discover Rho on Ice 2025 initiatives, featuring an ice skating rink that will keep the people of Rho entertained from Saturday, December 6 until the following February 22, the day the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics conclude. To commemorate the fact that the city of Rho hosts some Olympic venues, namely the speed skating rink and the ice hockey rink, on December 6 in front of the historic pink marble fountain, the Olympic Rings, the timeless symbol of the event, will be lit. Afterwards, the festivities will move to Piazza San Vittore for one of the shows in the Christmas program, the Fire Show by the Compagnia Accademia Creativa, which will present a performance with an old-world charm and high visual impact, blending lights and fire, stilt walkers, and aerial dance, thanks to skilled acrobats. Figure skating shows with the Rho Ice Show logo will also be on offer, enlivening the entire holiday period.

The rink will be open in the mornings on weekdays for school groups participating in the initiative to try out this winter sport. In the afternoons, it will be open from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, the facility will also be open to the public in the morning from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Discounted rates are available for those who bring their own skates, and subscription options can be requested with a 20% discount on the rates. There will be courses with rates dedicated to school groups during school hours with an instructor, at a cost of €6 per participant.
