Autumn Nature Events 2025: all the initiatives of the Bosco Negri Oasis!
The Lipu Bosco Negri Oasis celebrates the arrival of autumn with a series of events open to the public of all kind! From guided walks through the woods, stories and fairy tales told in the midst of nature, to talks by experts on the conservation of the park’s wildlife, the month of November will be full of activities for the whole family!
Below is the schedule of the various events:
- THE MUSHROOMS OF THE TICINO PARK (Sunday, November 2nd, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
Nature in autumn and its fruits will be the highlights of this cheerful day: experts from the Pavese Mycological Group, through an exhibition and a walk along the Oasis trails, will help us recognize the typical fungal species of the lowland woods. The event is recommended for adults and families with children aged 10 and above. Participation is free, but registration is required.
- STORIES UNDER THE TREES: “Winter” (Saturday, November 8th at 11:00 AM)
The adventure of a friendly squirrel who discovers what snow is! Followed by a walk in the woods! For children aged 2 to 5 years. Minimum donation requested €5, free for Lipu members. Event in collaboration with the children’s bookstore “La Civetta Azzurra”.
- “THE OTHER HALF OF THE FOREST” (Friday, November 14th at 9:00 PM)
A night walk along the Oasis trails to listen to the sounds and noises of nocturnal animals that inhabit the forest. We will hear the call of the tawny owls and more… The evening will begin with a brief introduction to discover the habits and characteristics of the many nighttime inhabitants. The event is recommended for an adult audience and families with children aged 5 and up. Minimum donation requested €5, free for Lipu members.
- THE WINTER HOUSE (Sunday, November 23rd, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
How do animals cope with winter? What will they use for their dens? We will find out with a walk in the forest to look for the materials that animals use to keep their dens warm and dry. This will be followed by a workshop to build a model of the den to observe and understand how different animals choose the best ‘shape.’ The event is recommended for adults and families with children aged 5 and over. Minimum donation required €7, free for Lipu members.
- ‘A WREATH TO… PECK!!!!’ (Sunday, November 30th, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
After understanding how to help our feathered friends get through the harsh winter, we will all get together to make a Christmas wreath… entirely edible, to hang in the garden or on the balcony! The event is recommended for families with children aged 5 and over, minimum donation required 7€, free for Lipu members.
