The Jubilee Concert: the Sanctuary of Rho at the celebration of Saint Cecilia
On the occasion of the November 22nd celebration, dedicated to Saint Cecilia, patron saint of music, the Oblate Missionary Fathers have organized a unique concert at the Basilica of the Sanctuary of Rho. The special guest of the evening will be the renowned Isaia Ravelli, who serves as Choir Master and Main Organist of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Lourdes, accompanied by trumpeter Marcello Manfredi Bassi, also a collaborator of the Musical Service of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Lourdes. A friend of the Oblate Missionary Fathers of Rho, Ravelli composed the beautiful hymn for the Jubilee of the Addolorata Sanctuary of Rho, “This is the House of God,” in 2022, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of its construction and the 100th anniversary of its dedication as a Basilica of the Sanctuary. At the end of the concert, donations will be collected for the restoration of the Chapel of Saint John the Baptist.
