The largest market in Lombardy, 400 years old
Officially recognized as a Historic Market, with its 331 stalls it is the largest market in Lombardy, larger than any other market in Milan and second in Italy for the number of stalls, in 2018 it celebrated the 400th anniversary of its establishment. Its origins actually date back even further back in time: in fact, an ancient document shows that Emperor Henry II granted it to take place in the year 1080 and its fixed day, Monday, was established as early as 1585 by Philip II, King of Spain, who also reigned over Rho at that time.
