In 1907 the construction of the large “Chimica A. e E. Bianchi” plant began. Also thanks to its proximity to the railway station, it grew in importance and remained active until the end of the 70s under the direction of Montedison.

Today the plant has been almost entirely demolished to create a new site for small companies, but a beautiful building in a neo-medieval style is preserved that is very reminiscent of the Town Hall, very well preserved, and which is now used as the headquarters of the offices of the Revenue Agency.
